Tea Party at the Town Hall!

Tea Party at the Town Hall!

As the nation prepared to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday, Trafford Council  invited residents, groups, businesses and local schools to join in the “Let’s Tidy Trafford Together” initiative as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s “Clean for the Queen” campaign.

At Gorse Hill Primary, we entered a, ‘Litter Monster Challenge’. Children in class 9, made a litter monster from recyclable rubbish. Last night, Mrs Rodda, Ellie Hewitt, Vicky Rakhtopol and Madison Farrell attended a tea party at Trafford Town Hall, where the winners were announced and a special beacon was lit to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Although we didn’t win, the pupils had a fantastic time at this event. Here are some photos from the evening.
